Wildwood Manor is a neighborhood located in Bethesda, Maryland. The establishment of this community began in 1952. Bounded by Old Georgetown Rd., Washington National Pike, and Capital Beltway Outer Loop, the area features luxurious, high-priced homes. Today, the community continues to develop its neighborhood with new homes, high-ranking schools, stores and recreational centers.


Wildwood Manor's schools are zoned to the Montgomery County Public Schools District and are high-ranked based on ratings from GreatSchools.

The designated elementary school for this community is Ashburton Elementary School. Ashburton Elementary School has a GreatSchools rating of 6 out of 10 and is a national blue ribbon and common sense school. Serving students from pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade, the student population is around 891, with a student-to-teacher ratio of 18 to 1.

The designated middle school is North Bethesda Middle School. This middle school is ranked 7 out of 10 on GreatSchools and serves students from grades 6 to 8. The student-to-teacher ratio is 17 to 1, with a total of 1,163 students. North Bethesda Middle School offers after-school activities for its students like Writer's Club, A Cappella, Running Club, Model UN Club, Student Government Association (SGA), Student Association for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) and many more.

The neighborhood's assigned high school is Walter Johnson High School, located across the Old Georgetown Rd. It is rated 8 out of 10 and has an overall Niche grade of an A plus. The high school consists of 2,587 students ranging from 9th to 12th grade. The student-to-teacher ratio is 18 to 1. Based on state test scores, 87% of the students are proficient in reading, and 78% are proficient in math. Walter Johnson High School offers a variety of academic programs that can assist their students' academic growth. These programs are the ACES Scholars program, the Advanced Placement program, the APEX-Reach Scholars program, the Dual Enrollment program, the LEAD! program, and the Minority Scholars Program. The school also has a program for seniors that allow them to complete a senior research project. Upon the completion of the project, they are given honors-level credit for the course. In addition to academic programs, Walter Johnson High School also offers students extracurricular activities.

Wildwood Shopping Center

Wildwood Shopping Center is the main shopping destination for the community of Wildwood Manor. It is located on Old Georgetown Rd. and consists of several upscale boutiques selling clothes, shoes, jewelry, and other items. The shopping center also has different restaurants such as Fish Tacos, Chopt Creative Salad Co, JOE & THE JUICE, Starbucks, Bethesda Bagels and Sarah's Handmade Ice Cream. Also featured in the shopping center is a CVS.

The most popular attraction of this center is Balducci's Food Lovers Market. Their meats are prime cuts, fish are imported from fresh farms, and produce are hand-selected. Every product sold in this market is of high quality to ensure the residents and visitors to the community receive the best food possible.

Fleming Local Park

Fleming Local Park is situated at the corner of the Capital Beltway Outer Loop and Washington National Pike. It was developed in 1967 on 12.8 acres of land. The park is a community recreational center that provides a space for the locals and visitors of Wildwood Manor to gather and socialize. The amenities included are:

  • Lighted Tennis Court
  • Picnic Shelters
  • Playground

Fleming Local Park is opened from Sunrise to Sunset, with the exception of the lighted basketball and tennis courts, which are open 24 hours a day.
